Myagdi, July 25: A woman has sent out an appeal for economic assistance to help treat her cancer from the Bhaktapur Cancer Hospital.
Parmaya Paija of Pakhapani of Raghuganga rural municipality – 6 is undergoing treatment at the hospital for intestinal cancer resulting from ulcer. She was admitted a month ago. “I have been admitted in the hospital, the daily expense ranges from Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000, as the treatment is expensive we are unable to fund it,” Paija lamented.
She is being treated with chemotherapy. Her family members say they have already spent Rs 500,000 in course of treatment at various hospitals in the last two years.
The Paija family has been making ends meet through farming. They have until now taken support of loan and credit to fund for Parmaya’s treatment. They are in need of additional money for a surgical operation to remove the cancer. RSS
