We do not go to the streets during epidemics, the court will give justice :Deuba

Kathmandu May 27 : Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has expressed confidence that the Supreme Court will give him justice on the issue of dissolving the parliament.

Speaking online on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Nepal Press Union on Thursday, he said that they had to go to court to seek justice as the President had unconstitutionally dissolved the parliament at midnight. Deuba, however, said that he would not take part in the street agitation against the dissolution of the parliament.

Deuba claimed that the dissolution of the parliament was facilitated by the need to test the credentials of the parliamentarians. “If you don’t believe me, the president could have called MP and told them,” he said

Deuba said the president should not support the prime minister’s decision to dissolve parliament. “People like the president should not have obeyed the prime minister, the prime minister should have gone, the president should not have done it,” he said. “So we have gone to court. I believe the court will do justice.”

Deuba said that the Prime Minister and the President had created a political crisis in the country through unconstitutional interference.

He said that he would not take to the streets during the epidemic. “It’s not possible to go on the road now because of Corona virus. The more cobwebs are spread, the more he doesn’t commit a crime. We also have a humanitarian obligation,” he said.
