Bandipur rural municipality signs local project agreements from wards

Kathmandu December 17. Tanahun’s Bandipur rural municipality has reached out to ward level to sign agreements for executing local projects and plans. According to Bandipur rural municipality, the agreements were signed at ward level for the projects to be executed in line with the policy, programme and budget of the current fiscal year 2019/20. Purnasi Thapa, chairperson of the rural municipality, informed the campaign of signing projects at ward level has been taken ahead as per the objective of delivering services to local people from doorstep government unit. “More than 250 projects and schemes were signed at all six wards of the rural municipality”, he informed. The rural municipality has set a target to run 300 projects in the current fiscal. The campaign was initiated to end compulsion for consumers to reach the office of rural municipality for project agreement. “People find it tough time to come to the rural municipality office for project signing”, Thapa said, adding it would be easier or the people while signing the projects at their doorstep units. It is also easier for local users to manage documents required for signing of projects, Thapa noted.
