Government of Nepal has passed a New Map of Nepal

एबीसी / संवाददाता
जेष्ठ ५, २०७७ सोमबार  ९ : ४६ बजे

Kathmandu May 18.

The government of Nepal has passed a New Map of Nepal including Limpiyadhura, LipuLekh, and Kalapani regions in its own territory.

A minister has informed us that the cabinet meeting held on Monday has passed the map. Minister for Land Management, Padma Aryal proposed the new map to the cabinet meeting on Sunday.

After the Indian government had released the disputed Political map last year, Nepal tried to figure out the problems through bilateral talks. However, the Indian government ignored this address of Nepal. In fact, India has been regularly disregarding this issue regardless of inter and intra disputes, conflicts, and controversies.  The unilateral decision of India and its encroachments have been criticized by many countries.

According to the Sugauli Treaty of 1816 AD,  Limpiyadhura, Kalapani, and Lipu Lekh regions belong to Nepal.
