NRNA expresses solidarity to protection of Nepal’s land

एबीसी / संवाददाता

Kathmandu May 12 .
The Non-Resident Nepalis Association (NRNA) has expressed its anger over India’s latest act of encroaching and constructing a road through Nepal’s territory, instead of settling the border dispute with Nepal through diplomatic and political dialogue. The Association also asserted that the territories in question belonged to Nepal as per the historical documents including the Sugauli Treaty of 1816. NRNA president Kumar Panta, in a press release on Monday, stated that every Nepali citizen would stand as a shield for the protection of Nepal’s territory and the non-resident Nepalis spread across the globe would extend their solidarity in the same. “We the Nepalis always respect our motherland’s sovereignty and expect the same from our neighbouring countries. For this reason, we call attention of the governments concerned to immediately take concrete steps for the amicable conclusion of this border-related topic through political and diplomatic dialogue,” the NRNA president said. He expressed the determination that the NRNs would extend solidarity to every positive step that the Government of Nepal and the Nepali sisters and brothers take regarding this serious topic of the country’s territorial integrity.
