Kathmandu May 8.

A total of 212 Members of the federal parliament, other staffs and including security personnel  have all tested negative for Corona Virus COVID-19.

Throat swabs of 440 people were collected at the Federal Parliament building premises on Thursday.

Of these, 179 are the members of the House of Representatives and 45 are the members of the National Assembly. Earlier, the secretariat said that 441 people had been collected. However, one person did not participate in the swab collection even though he filled the form.

The lawmakers, staffs and security persons will be allowed into the parliament only after testing negative for the corona virus.

The budget session of the parliament will run with the gap of two empty chairs between the lawmakers. There is Mandatory use of facial Masks for lawmakers and other staffs during the budget session.
