Chitre (Ilam), April 10 : Chief Minister of Province no 1, Sherdhan Rai, has said that they have moved ahead towards the journey of development and prosperity by standing at the foundation of federalism with some difficulties as federalism is the first practise in the country.

At a programme organised on the occasion of 39th Memorial Day of Martyr Ratna Kumar Bantawa, Chief Minister Rai said that the journey of prosperity would move ahead as per the aspiration of martyrs and people by mobilizing all potentialities of the country as there is left alliance government in all bodies—centre, province and local-level.

Talking about Bantawa’s contribution, CPN (UML) leader Pradeep Nepal said that Bantawa should be truly honoured. Bantawa was killed by the then Panchyat government on April 9, 1979.

On the occasion, newly constructed Bantawa museum and library as well as a meeting of 3rd National Council of Progressive Writers’ Association were also inaugurated.
