Gaushala (Mahottari), June 26: Police here today arrested a person on the charge of murdering his wife.
Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Mahottari, Raj Kumar Lamsal, said that the arrested is Pradeep Sahani, 25, of Matihani rural municipality-3.
Pradeep had tied knot with Tinky Kumari of Matihani rural municipality-6 two years ago. Police found the body of Tinky hanging in her bed room on Saturday.
Locals arrested Pradeep, who had been absconding after allegedly murdering his wife, this morning and handed him over to police when he had come home to take some goods.
Tinky’s parents and brothers blamed Pradeep for Tinky’s murder. They have charged that Pradeep killed their daughter in collusion with other family members, saying Pradeep did not like Tinky as she did not conceive even after two years of their marriage.
Pradeep’s mother and father have still been absconding. Tinky’s father and brother informed police about the incident after locals informed them about the incident. Investigation into the incident was underway keeping Pradeep in custody, said police. RSS
