Kathmandu, Oct 13. The official meeting between the high level delegations between Nepal and China concluded a while ago. Nepal’s Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and visiting Chinese President Xi Jinping led their respective nations in the meeting which focused on discussions and discourses about all aspects concerning Nepal-China relations. With the completion of talks, Nepal and China signed on 18 Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs), and two Letters of Exchange in regard with having partnership with government bodies including the Ministries of Home, Foreign Affairs, Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Agriculture and Livestock Development, Industry, Commerce and Supply and the Kathmandu metropolis. The MoUs were signed on the witness of President Xi and Prime Minister Oli. Following the signing ceremony, foreign ministers; finance, home and foreign secretaries and secretaries at related ministries and the Chinese ambassador for Nepal exchanged the MoUs and Letters of Exchange. Ministers of Finance, Foreign Affairs, Home, Energy, Water Resource and Irrigation and Infrastructure Development, Prime Minister’s chief political advisor and advisor for foreign affairs and Nepal government’s senior officials were in the Prime Minister Oli’s delegation while the delegation led by President Xi comprising China’s Foreign Affairs Minister Wang Yi, the finance secretary, Chinese Ambassador for Nepal, Ms Hou Yanqi, and Chinese senior officials were present on the occasion.
