Light to moderate rains forecast for three days

Kathmandu, Sept 15 : Rainfall is taking place across the country with monsoon becoming active once again, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology. Meteorologist Shanti Kandel said the southern part of monsoon trough is presently based around the average location, pushing for monsoon activities. Light to moderate rainfall has been predicted throughout the country for the next three days. However, the chance of incessant rain is unlikely in this period. Today, there is partly to generally cloudy throughout the country with the occurrence of light rainfall at some parts in central hills and eastern and western regions. The weather forecasting bulletin for the next 24 hours state that there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning to occur at some places in the country, chances of heavy rainfall at one or two places of the eastern and central regions. The Division has warned of the possibility of landslide in this period, causing the disruption of traffic service and air flights.
